Gabriel Alfranca

I completed my degree in Biochemistry at the University of Zaragoza and then started to work at the NAP group at The Institute of Nanoscience of Aragon facilities in 2013. After finishing my Master thesis on the use of nanoparticles for heat-induced laser therapy for biomedical applications I started my PhD studies in biological and biomedical applications of anisotropic gold nanoparticles at the same research group under the supervision of Scott Mitchell and Jesús M. de la Fuente. My research interests lie between innovative biological applications of new technologies, including nanotechnology, nanotherapy and diagnostics among others. I am especially interested in the complexity that lies under life and its processes, and how to treat challenging diseases.
